Further Development: MAST-3 / MTP

The subsequent designation “MAST-3” suggests a linear further development of MAST-2. In practice, however, it concerns a separate system with clear overlaps with MAST-1 and MAST-2.

In the Netherlands, this system is known as the Model Test Program (MTP).

This program offers an objective and integrated measurement of 28 physical, cognitive, and psychological aspects. This establishes a direct link between job requirements and the skills and capabilities of the individual.

The system supports a structured matching process between candidates and job profiles and is applicable via an Access-based software environment.

The MTP consists of three core profiles:

  • Personal profile
  • Job profile
  • Task profile

By comparing these profiles, clear insight is gained into the degree of alignment between the candidate and the position. Additionally, it can be determined whether additional tasks or development steps are needed to further strengthen competencies.

Practical application

Based on input from discussions with production management and observations by supervisors, the system can effectively identify and analyze bottlenecks in instruction processes and quality deviations in production environments.
