MTM-1

MTM

The MTM technique is a method used to accurately determine the time spent on value-adding activities by means of predefined standard activities and associated task times of an employee or machine. The goal of MTM recordings is to accurately determine the task times of a set of value-adding activities performed by employees and/or machines.

It is important when conducting MTM recordings that an entire cycle of value-adding activities is recorded using video recordings, performed by an employee with an average level of experience. It is also important that, when analyzing the video recordings, the occupational therapist is able to translate the recordings into the standard MTM sub-elements.

Adapt-Ability uses the standard MTM 1 and 2 activity sheets for preparing, conducting, and analyzing MTM recordings. This allows video recordings to be analyzed easily.
